Coming straight outta Scotland, a crazy mofo named Peter Alexander Cormack and his wife, Annie, packed their bags for the trek across the Atlantic to settle in early 1900's Canada. A barrel-maker by trade, Cormack was a part of the Homestead Program which afforded families a plot of land upon settling in the new country – in Petey Alex’s case, the gorgeous, rolling hills of Herschel, population: 30 (as of 2010… seriously). Keeping in line with the family tradition of manufacturing, Peter and Annie’s great-grandchildren now build bags and backpacks rather than barrels under the name of Herschel Supply Company. The goal has been to combine killer looks, durability and quality, and we just have to say, ""mission accomplished."" Inspiration drawn from the ruggedness of mountaineering, heritage, world travel and fashion is all a part of the Herschel game, as is reinventing vintage aesthetics with modern shapes, fits and comfort, with high stress on detail and technical features – you’ll get laptop sleeves, headphone slots, key clips, media pockets, sneaker compartments and all sorts of cool, new millennium bag swag.
