Dork Sunglasses
DORK is a lifestyle accessories line based out of Hawaii that currently offers two styles of unisex sunglasses, with watches and other accessories coming in the near future. The mission of DORK is to create unique, fun and fashionable accessory pieces that are always affordable.
The two styles of sunglasses currently available are the D1 and D2 models. The D1 is a very unique, larger bodied frame that comes in ten different colors. The D2 is a smaller clear plastic aviator style frame that comes in six different colors. Both styles are always an instant hit and with the variety of colors its hard to just get one pair.
DORK is for individuals with a passion for fashion and expressing their individuality. The aesthetic is always simple and clean. Most pieces will only come in one or two silhouettes or styles, but will be offered in variety of colors and finishes. A new set of colors and collaborations for the D1 and D1 are currently in the works for Spring 2009.
The DORK brand was created by Jim DiCarlo, a marketer/designer/entreprenueur and overall branding junkie, who currently resides in the state of Hawaii. Jim moved there after spending several years working with marketing agencies, ad agencies and magazines in NYC, and has been enjoying paradise for the past two years. With the DORK brand, Jim decided to take a simplistic and easy approach to everything from design, pricing, and marketing and apply it to the streetwear / niche retail boutique market. He thought that accessories such as glasses, watches and bags could be stylish, design driven pieces that didn't break the bank. Simple, stylish, fun and affordable is what DORK is all about.
