Vans
Shoes and Sneakers
Established in 1966, the Van Doren Rubber Company produced simple canvas and vulcanized rubber shoes and sold them directly to the public in a store attached to the factory. Skaters everywhere quickly learned about our “waffle” grip that was perfect for skateboarding. In 1976, the first skateboard-specific shoe, style #95, now known as the Era, was born. Skaters were happy.
Today, Vans creates footwear and apparel with a variety of action sports in mind. Still, at the very heart of our company, creating the very best skate shoes on Earth is our top priority. Our designers team up with the most influential skaters on the planet. Geoff Rowley, Tony Trujillo and Jim Greco not only ride Vans shoes, they help design them and help us create the most functional and stylish shoes around. From our rider signature shoes with the latest technical features to new takes on our original, timeless favorites, Vans has skate covered.
Our nearly 40 years at the center of Southern California skate and surf allow us make a variety of footwear, apparel and accessories that fit the Vans lifestyle for both guys and girls. Beyond skate shoes, you’ll also find that we have some killer sandals plus knits, hats, denim and accessories.
Vans girls’ line embodies the spirit of Where the Beach Meets the Street with a full offering of lifestyle footwear and apparel that capture the carefree Southern California attitude.
But if you still want to ride your style #95s, no worries, because we’ll make them for you.
