Pura Vida

With their design team based in Costa Rica, Pura Vida specializes in bracelets and other accessories that embody the “pura vida” lifestyle.  “Pura vida” is Spanish for pure life (though the meaning is more similar to “full of life”), and is a phrase that is often used to describe modern Costa Rican culture.  Pura Vida founders Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman discovered street vendors selling unique bracelets while visiting Costa Rica, and after bringing some back to the US they quickly recognized the intense demand for similar accessories.  The same vendors that sold Griffin and Paul those initial bracelets now lead the Pura Vida design team; in fact the entire manufacturing branch is located in Costa Rica and staffed by a local workforce.  With a commitment to give back to the community through keeping their production in Costa Rica and also through The Surfrider Foundation, Pura Vida is a brand you can feel good about supporting.
