When Cheap Monday developed into a full-scale brand, complete with jeans, tops, accessories, underwear, and shoes, it was January 2005—just years after founders Örjan Andersson, Adam Friberg, and two of their friends had opened a small store in a Stockholm suburb in late 2000. In that short time span, Cheap Monday had grown from a shop that sold a selection of expensive denim to a fashion line that offered a range of high-quality products at affordable prices. The tight Cheap Monday denim with trademark skull logo first hit the market in Sweden in March 2004 and became an instant success, leading to the brand's joining forces with H&M in 2008. Through it all, Cheap Monday has never lost touch with its original purpose: to offer customers clothing and accessories as good as the high-end brands in every way—but at a great price.
