Volcom has spent more than two decades as a leading streetwear and accessories brand for women and men. Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall established the riding company in 1991 after a snowboarding trip to Lake Tahoe, when they realized they could turn three of their passions—snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing—into a new career. Armed with a bold idea and $5,000 dollars from Richard's dad, they started the business process and soon Volcom was born. Volcom embraced the popular philosophy of "youth against establishment" and aimed to change the perception that snowboarding and skateboarding were somehow lesser sports. Richard and Tucker took a stand to prove that times were changing, and that riding sports did not deserve to be looked down upon. Today, Volcom offers a broad collection of products including pants, boardshorts, tees, hoodies, socks, hats, belts, and wallets. Whether your preferred boarding terrain is fresh powder or fresh asphalt, Volcom is for you.
