The Cali-born artist and veteran T.D.E. member crafted his first verse at 12 and cites Nas, Canibus, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, Jay Z and Twista as influencers. Signed to T.D.E. in '07 and sharing the roster with Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul also formed the widely-acclaimed Black Hippy Collective. Releasing bangers such as “Terrorist Threats” and “Illuminate”, Ab-Soul has developed and delivered lyricism and style that hip hop heads have been patiently waiting for.
