Audio Push saw their first big hit in 2009 with “Teach Me How To Jerk,” and since then, the duo has developed rapidly. Earlier this year, they released their latest mixtape, Come As You Are (word to Nirvana), which featured tracks with the likes of T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Vic Mensa and Joey Bada$$. This new video for the title track off that mixtape oozes class. No “jerking” here–only black and white shots, shades, and suits. The video follows a model during a photoshoot, interspersed with shots of the Cali duo spitting slick rhymes over a dusty, groovy beat, co-produced by Key Wane and Hit Boy.
This video was directed by Nem Perez, an insanely talented young director/animator/designer from Chicago who you should keep your eye on. In addition to short films and corporate-sponsored animations, he’s done forward-thinking music videos for artists such as Rockie Fresh, Mac Miller, and Phero. We foresee big things for him. Check out his reel below and follow him on twitter to keep up to date on any new visual madness.
Rocksmith recently announced they’ll soon be hosting an in-store appearance with Audio Push at their flagship store in NYC, so stay tuned that. And if you’re planning on hitting it up, why not show up there in some fly shit?
