Allen Iverson Retires In Style Thanks To A Little Help From Reebok

If you grew up in the ’90s and followed basketball, there is no way you don’t consider Allen Iverson one of the greatest to ever play the game. The quintessential underdog, Iverson’s will to win was like no other. From putting a perennial mediocre Philadelphia 76ers team on his back, to nearly singlehandedly defeating Kobe AND Shaq in the playoffs, he was an undeniable force.

Almost nearly as influential as his game was his style off the court. Allen Iverson is the reason that the NBA had to enforce a dress code. While his combination of XXXL jerseys, jeans, chains, fitted caps and durags drove Commissioner David Stern crazy, it gave kids around the world a whole new way to view fashion. Iverson was hood and he didn’t give a shit, he was going to do him.

He used his iconic status to popularize Reeboks in a way that no one has been able to do since then. Go to any basketball court during his reign and you would see it littered with people rocking various colorways of his signature Questions and Answers. To commemorate his (unfortunate) retirement from the game, Reebok is going to release an exclusive colorway (only 1996 pairs total) of his classic Question mid sneaker scheduled to release March 14th.
