If this isn’t every young rap fan’s dream come true, then we don’t know what is. Two of the most powerful crews in hip-hop today–Kendrick Lamar’s Top Dawg Entertainment and ASAP Rocky’s ASAP MOB–joined forces to sit down with The Breakfast Club while at the Karmaloop-sponsored Powerhouse concert this weekend.
Packed into a tiny green room, Charlemagne, Envy and Angela Yee were host to Kendrick, Schoolboy Q, Rocky, Ferg, Nast, Illz and more. Rocky kicks things off by reminding us that rap is competition and he has no problem with Kendrick claiming he is the King of New York, though the rest of the MOB didn’t seem so enthused. Then, as Kendrick denies dissing Drake at the BET awards, Charlemagne calls Drizzy a “pretty albino girl” and all hell breaks loose. Envy gives props to Ferg for having two club records (“Work” and “Shabba”) going at the same time, and Ferg unleashes his patented grilled-out smile. Watch the rest of the interview for all the jokes, sneak disses and a drugged-out Schoolboy Q.
