Here at GURU, we take style pretty seriously. We know that there are a billion sneakers coming out at once, and that’s a lot to sift through. Our veteran sneakerheads @ffeeks and @alivegreenst never fail to be up on the wild world of kicks, and we got them to filter it down to just the dopest.
1. Nike Air Jordan IV “Fear” Pack
Release Date: [August 24th]
$175 is a little steep for some General Release Jordans. Regardless, you know everybody is going to be all over these, so that’s understandable. The color combination coupled with the speckled midsole make these look mean.
See what we did here with the Jogger Pants from All Day? Thank us later. Since the weather is cooling down, it’s totally fine to wear leather pants now and then, and the fit on these Sureshot pants from Zanerobe are perfect to showcase the sneakers. The Paisley Tee from LATHC will be dope to wear with some khaki colored denim or something similar, since those colors with contrast real nice. The HUF Don’t Even Trip T-Shirt was practically made for this sneaker, so you really can’t lose with that one.
2. Nike Roshe Run Winter Mid
Release Date: [October 2013]
If we could wear Roshe’s year-round, we would. However, since we’re being based out of New York City, this is nearly impossible. Fortunately, Nike comes to our rescue once again and solves the problem. The Roshe Winter Mid is perfect for the rainy fall months, and could potentially hold its own against a little snow and slush. The Bowen Cardigan from Obey the perfect staple for the fall season. The Panda Camo pants from LRG compliment the the colorway of the Roshes well, keeping it subtle yet intentional. The Indigo denim from Insight and the crispy Loopback crewneck from Staple are just too dope not to add to the wardrobe.
3. Nike Air Safari – Mortar/Electric Purple
Release Date: [August 23rd]
A perfect fall colorway. The palette is unique and not too loud. The mortar mellows it out, and the snakeskin swoosh is what really sets it off.
The Lil’ Cutty x Ben Baller from Diamond Supply hoodie is loud, but as long as you’re not wearing electric green pants, you will be good, bruh. The Western Snap Button Up by Mishka is subtle–we love the trim on the shoulders. Kennedy Demin has been putting out fire products lately, and these Camo Ripstop pants are a perfect example of that. The LRG Core Collection Slim Straight Cargos are a solid staple item that will work well with these and a lot of other sneakers in your current rotation.
