Jhené Aiko Gets Playful With Childish Gamino In New Video For “Bed Peace”

Jhené Aiko had the music scene excited far before she even started recording music. Born in L.A., she’s a truly multicultural artist–she states her ethnicity as “Japanese, African American, Native American, etc.”– the etc. includes Spanish, Dominican, German and Jewish descent. She was set to release her debut project in 2007, but put it off, instead choosing to focus on her education. Who does that any more? We love it.

She finally released her first mixtape in 2011, which included features from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Kanye West, Drake, Miguel, and Schoolboy Q. Soon after, Aiko signed to Def Jam after meeting with No I.D. (the vice president and head of A&R for the label).

Today, she released a smooth, playful video for her song “Bed Peace” featuring Childish Gambino, whom she’s rumored to be in a relationship with. The album will be on her upcoming EP titled Sail Out, set to be released on November 12th. Take look at the cover art and tracklist below and tell us you’re not pumped for this new project:
