Just Blaze @ Westerly Beach Party
Starting off my first post here contributing to KLX is a photo of legendary DJ “[emuze]Just Blaze[/emuze]” at Patty’s Beach in Westerly, RI. Its one of the few day clubs where you can see hot babes in trendy bikinis twerk while hearing some of the best dance music AND be under the sun. Thats the end of my string of sweet gigs so lets rewind.
Thomas Gold @ Governors Island
On August 2nd I commuted my way up to NYC to shoot Thomas Gold’s party at Governors Island. I met the ladies in the photo below on the ferry over to Governors Island and I was hoping I’d find them at the show to grab a photo. To my surprise, they ended up backstage before Thomas Golds set where I my photo came to fruition. Thomas Gold finally hit the decks playing a ton of his original productions, there was even a surprise performance by singer Kate Elsworth. The combination of his talent on the decks, the jungle themed gogo dancers, and the production let to an epic opening to his 2 hour set. Unlike most major cities I’ve been too, no one in New York gives a shit about what you take a photo of them doing.
Sebastian Ingrosso @ Lollapalooza
Fast forward to the next day, I found myself in Chicago shooting [emuze]Sebastian Ingrosso[/emuze] at Lollapalooza on the Perry stage. This was my first time attending Lollapalooza and despite the rain, it did not slow me down; I wish the same could of been said for the amount of mud. The Ingrosso fans all came out to see this 1/3 of Swedish House Mafia throw down a festival set complete with unreleased productions.
Dannic @ NAGA
My favorite mid week party at NAGA in Cambridge brought out heavy hitter [emuze]Dannic[/emuze] from Hardwell’s Revealed Label. Being on a Wednesday, in Cambridge, and 19+ it brings out a large variety of people from ravers to cocktail dresses to cut offs booty shorts. It may not be a festival with thousands of people but everyone still dances hard and the djs play even harder.
Well that’s it for this post, come back again in two weeks to see even more of whats going down in my life.
