While Biebs’ questionable behavior off the stage and outside the studio has had us all a bit worried about the teen superstar, his prolific consistency with the #MusicMondays thing has been undeniable. Following Kanye’s #BlackFriday release structure (where he dropped a new G.O.O.D. Music track every friday), Justin Bieber has been releasing a new song every Monday, and each one has been better than the last.
We saw him embrace the 90’s RnB vibe with one of its creators, R. Kelly, a couple of weeks ago, and his new track has that same feeling, but this time it’s more polished. Tapping into Chance The Rapper, one of the most poppin’ emcees this year, was a great move–Chance can’t do wrong these days. His flow is characteristically intricate, his subject matter is ratchet, and his cadence is weird and experimental. He’s the closest thing to a young Andre 3000 in the game right now.
The only complaint we have is that his verse was way too short. The song would have been better with at least 32 more bars from Chance. Other than that, we’re pretty impressed.
Make sure you look confident the next time you step out with these new jackets from Rook.
