Arguably one of the most underrated hip-hop groups of all time, The LOX hit the Breakfast Club for 40 minutes of industry insights and laughs. Though third member Sheek Louch was not in action, Jadakiss and Styles P packed enough punch on their own for an entertaining interview.
The duo break down their relationships in the game, starting from knowing Jay Z from pre-Reasonable Doubt days, being close with Diddy before he came a mogul and xyz. Charlemagne tires to provoke Styles a few times, but Styles responds by claiming he is a changed man and doesn’t engage in the fuckery anymore. Strong words coming from a man who once stabbed a guy in the ass over some beef. Yikes.
The highlight of the interview when Angela Yee asks Jada about how he explains some of his lyrics to his daughter. Though Kiss manages to come with up explanations for some weed related lyrics, when grilled about his bars about video vixen Superhead, he claims “my daughter gotta ask her mother about that one!” Straight comedy. Oh, and Kiss was definitely high.
Remember when hip-hop was still real?
