[MUSIC VIDEO] Time Travel With Iska Dhaaf And Macklemore

In you hadn’t noticed, Seattle has been running shit lately. From the Seahawks dominating the Super Bowl to Macklemore cleaning up at the Grammys, the 206 has been shining. Now we get this gem of a video from Seattle duo Iska Dhaaf, the partnership of guitarist/vocalist Nathan Quiroga and drummer/keyboardist Benjamin Verdoes. Shot by Tristan Seniuk in the backwoods of Washington, the video depicts a Vietnam-era soldier watching a USO show. Complimented with LSD, Marilyn Monroe look-alikes, and a Macklemore cameo, the protagonist slowly descends into madness along with the song.

The band, whose name translates roughly as “let it go” from Somali, is on point. The fuzzy bass and heavy drums sharply contrast with a cutting vocal hook that will be stuck in your head for days. The song ranges from innocent and disarming to chaotic and frantic, taking the listening on a whirlwind of a ride. Take a listen.

Iska Dhaaf’s debut LP Even the Sun Will Burn is out March 11 via Brick Lane Records.

This video got you fiendin for some camo? Look no further:
