Your’re smart bro, you have a smartphone so where is your smartcoat? Conceived by progressive tech company, Motiif, the “M” smartcoat aims to be the world’s first jacket equipped with 4G Cellular and phone charging capabilities. Wait, what?

According to company founder, Rafael Balbi, the trenchcoat comes with an internal charging dock (in the inside breast pocket) as well act as a traveling 4G hotspot. This means you won’t ever be disconnected–you can post #selfies from a basement in woods if that’s the kind of thing you’d do. The jacket will come with 3 months of free data, and then it’s $14/month for 1GB of data after that. Not too shabby, at all.

If you’re worried about how the coat will be charged, you shouldn’t be. All you have to do is put it on a specialized hanger which comes with the coat. Balbi wants Motiif to be the world’s first wearable technology brand and has plans to create completely “smart” wardrobe which can interact with each other. We can hardly wait until they hit Karmaloop.

Honestly, this some pretty mind-blowing stuff which we’re still trying to wrap our heads around. This pretty much means that:

1. You can watch YouTube videos in the subway.

2. You can never say “my phone died” as an excuse for someone you’re trying to avoid.

3. You can never get lost…anywhere ever again. Unless it’s the summertime and it’s too hot to wear the damn coat.

4. You might only need to buy one jacket for the rest of your life.

Unfortunately, the “M” coat is still in the developmental stages and is supposed to start testing in February 2014. Don’t get wet in the meantime.
