My only shoes!!
I wear them 18 hours a day. I work high energy fulltime retail and they last a year. I have osteo arthritis and flat feet so yes I'm an old lady running around a box store with skater boy shoes!! =)

Fantastic design.
One week in and no problems. A bit concerned about the faux leather inner liner as it occasionally squeaks and I've seen similar stuff deteriorate fairly quickly. Hoping for the best though.

Uncomfortable
I've been wearing vans since high school and maybe it's me, but they are so uncomfortable now! One 8 hour shift in these and my feet hurt so bad! The comfy cush soles are better, but I don't understand why vans insists on selling the uncomfortable version as well. How do people even skate in these? Skate shoes are designed to absorb shock. Not these bad boys.

Bring back that Black on Black with Suede
2 stars because they're Vans, would get zero for the canvas. I'm an old fogie that's been wearing Vans since 1978. These canvas SK8 His are a joke. Zero durability on the toe. Worse if you skate. Can't seem to find the classic black on black with leather toe and uppers. At least, not on the site.

exactly as pictured, ZERO support
I got these shoes for my boyfriend, they look great, but offer ZERO support. The bottoms are completely flat and uncomfortable, he will need insoles.

The all black Vans are by far my favorite color. I love them! They are very comfortable. I wear a 7 1/2 in tennis shoes and a 7 1/2 fit in this shoe. I love the look of the shoe. When I wear these out, I will definitely be ordering another pair of them.

I ended up buying two pairs and might get a third...
I bought these shoes about 2 years ago, and a few months after I bought a pair, I bought a second. They're durable and easily keep up with my spontaneous lifestyle (oh the life of a college student). I wear (wore) them going out, to class, to brunch - they're so easy to dress up or dress down. Now, my first pair has some badges (some people call them holes and stains), but that's because I wear them just about every day.
I noticed that some people say they difficult to take off, and yes, it does take more time, but that is something you'll encounter with any high-top shoe. Generally, I'll tuck the laces and not tie them so that I can slip them on and off quickly. Then I'll tie them for "adventure mode" - dancing, skating, hiking, running etc.

These Shoes are Everything!
I have never owned a pair of Vans. As a Mom, I've purchased these shoes for my daughter (Adrianna Munoz) as she was growing up, and She continues to Rep this brand in Her adult years!!
She recommended that I "try em out" and lemmie tell you, I am in LOVE with them!! I work in Foodservice, so I am on my feet all day. They offer comfortableness, non skid, and they look awesome!!
I will definitely be purchasing another pair in the future!!

Rubber inside right shoe sticking out, catches toe
They look great, but this pair is unwalkable for anything more than a few blocks. It seems the rubber edge that wraps around the shoe is layered on top of itself on the inside. On each side there is a bump where this overlap is. On the left there's a piece of fabric, covering, on the right this fabric isn't attached the same way so there's a half centimeter of rubber sticking out that my toe hits with each step.

Uncomfortable version
I bought these when my solid black sk8-hi slims had been broken down to nothing. They were the BEST! Cant find that version anymore. Seems this version has replaced it. These are the worst pair of vans I've ever had. They were stiff, heavy and felt like I was wearing boots. They were slightly too large to look good on my women's foot. The slims were all a softer canvas so they were flexible and comfortable. The slims also were smaller so didn't make my feet look huge. I ended up selling this version at a consignment shop after i gave up on trying to break them in and make them comfortable. Man, I'm so sad this seems to be the only solid black hi-top option now. If the reason they switched was durability, I'd rather replace my shoes every few years then have a shoe I can't comfortably wear at all.

Absolutely perfect!
You just can't beat classic all white Vans! I purchased for my daughter and she gets compliments all of the time from people both young and old. She says they are super comfy too! I do recommend buying the clear protection spray to keep them clean and protected from stains etc.
If by chance you are into art, especially painting, these would be perfect to paint!! Though my daughter prefers straight white, the canvas these are made of would be perfect to paint or even for sketching with markers or ink.
